Considering the exposition above, the following issues will be addressed in this thesis:
a。 Validating the feasibility and effectiveness of application of Picture Books during English reading teaching process。
b。 Exploring approaches to make English Picture Books act as English text books and additional materials。
c。 Offering recommendations which could benefit teachers in Picture Books teaching as well as researchers in further studies。

What should be noticed is that the results of the study would also provide pedagogical implication for primary school English teaching, enrich the curriculum’s practicing of Picture Books and prompt new directions。
This study enriches the teaching contents of primary school and analyzes English teaching activities and instructional strategies according to the characteristics of pupils’ physical and mental to provide a theoretical basis and teaching reference for the application of Picture Books in primary school English teaching。
