A study on the Positive Effects of the First Language Thinking on the Children’ Second Language Acquisition
Chapter one Introduction
1。1 Background
For these researchers that focus on the learning and teaching of second language, they all admit the effects that the first language has on the learning of the second language。 However, it is a controversial problem for linguists。 Affected by the behaviorist learning theory, many scholars insist that the expression habits of mother tongue and the first language thinking set a barrier for the learning of the second language。 The process of learning second language is the process of gradually overcoming the interference of the first language, and developing the expression habits and thinking in the target language。 But there are still some scholars appreciating the positive effects that the first language has on the learning of second language。 Corder and Krashen (1982) regard mother tongue as a kind of learning tactic, and acknowledge its positive effects。 McLaughlin and Taylor (Ellis, 1997) agree with the mother-tongue tactic from the perspective of cognitive linguistics。 They hold that it is a common phenomenon to use the first language to learn the new knowledge。 In recent years, some domestic scholars such as Wen Qiufang, Guo Chunjie, etc are also aware of the positive effects of the first language has on the learning of the second language。 Thus, why not use the advantages of the first language to form a right mother-tongue tactic to promote the learning of second language?论文网
