The Influence of Teaching Styles on Primary School Students’ Learning Habits

Chapter One Introduction

1。1 Background

1。1。1 The study habits of pupils outside the classroom

According to results of the investigation, many pupils have no inpidual learning plans and just follow their teachers’ mode of instruction。 These students basically do not have the habit of preview and review and it is impossible for them to digest their intraday homework。 In addition, for the questions that they do not understand, “let it go” is one of the most possible options。 Thus completing homework is just a blind activity for them。

1。1。2 The study habits of pupils in the classroom

Because of the poor self-control ability, it is easy to pert pupils’ attention in the classroom。 The percentage of students who are listening to teachers attentively is relatively low。 Most of them just accept the “spoon feeding” teaching method and gradually lack question-exploration ability。 The following list contains some common bad study habits among pupils: 1) poor attention。 For any subject, especially accounting, attendance is really a must; 2) no assignments。 The calculation is still a problem and the only way a student can learn this subject is through practice。 And practicing the subjects / topics means diligently doing the exercises and the assignments all on your own; 3) failing to take down notes。 Taking down notes means that he/she is listening and are focused on the subject。 A student who doesn’t take down notes is either the one who has a photographic memory or just plain lazy or is not concentrating on the subject at hand; and 4) poor time management。 Poor time management can lead to a variety of unfortunate consequences, such as missing deadlines, failing to finish projects, failing to keep to a schedule, and being less productive than one should be overall。文献综述
