2。1 Nida’ View of Functional Equivalence View
Nida (Nida, 2004) made a precise definition of “Dynamic Equivalence” in his book: Dynamic equivalence is therefore to be defined in terms of the degree to which the receptors the message in the receptor language respond to in substantially the same manner as the re-ceptors in the sour language。 In Nida’s another book (Nida, 2001), he put forward two concepts that are “formal equivalence” and “dynamic equivalence” and made a difference of them。 The latter was emphasized by him。 He thought it is because different kinds of languages have wide differences in from and content。 As a result, people seldom see translation of formal equivalence while dynamic equivalence is always pursuing the rightest and the most natural equivalent translation with source language。 Nida’s dynamic equivalence (Nida, 1969) means that target readers should provide the same respond about translation text with source-text readers and it is actually the closest natural equivalence。 Soon afterwards, Nida (2001) insisted improving his theory, further proposing people need to compare the ways of understanding and appreciating of target readers with that of source-text readers。 It requests that target readers have the same feeling when they read translations with source-text readers (the minimum functional equivalence)。 At the same time, target readers can understand and appreciate the source-text following the way of source-text readers as they can as possible (the maximum functional equivalence)。From+优!尔.YouErw.com 加QQ75201`8766
2。2 Previous Research of Functional Equivalence Theory
At present, the domestic and foreign scholars’ study of Nida's functional equivalence translation theory has a lot and their angle is also very various。 Tan Zaixi (2004) thought that throughout the development of Nida's functional equivalence theory, its core is: the words are smooth and nature, the content is vivid, readers reflection is similar。 He (Tan, 1999) also proposed that the most fundamental function of translation is to be understood and accepted by the translation readers, so he advocated the reaction of the reader on the most important position, thinking that the assessment of the quality of a translation firstly is supposed to consider the reaction of the audience readers in the translation, and then compare the response of the readers to the original readers of to jump to conclusions。 Scholar Zhao Dandan (2011), in order to achieve the equivalence of original readers and the readers' response, some proper adjust is required in the translation of the article information, language expression and cultural factors and the original readers familiar with the cultural pattern and language style into the type of the readers are familiar with, such ability can let do the translation in a natural and fluent language to convey to the readers clearly conveys the original information for sure。 According to Ye Zina (2008), Nida's functional equivalence theory is focused on pointing out that the breakthrough of the original language’s form is a major task faced by the translator。 How was Nida to demonstrate his functional equivalence theory? Pan Lingling (2013) argues that he described the specific content of functional equivalence theory from the following several aspects scientifically, abandoning the traditional concept of speech and using the concept of core words and sentences convertion to overcome the constraint from sentence structure to translator and overcome the obstruct resulting from the social and cultural differences with isomorphic theory。 从功能对等理论探究上市公司年报的英译以美的集团为例(3):http://www.youerw.com/yingyu/lunwen_143822.html
