摘要随着社会的进步,科学技术的日新月异, 英语作为一门公认的世界语言, 在中国占有举足轻重的地位。为了各种需要而用英语交际的人在急剧增加。学英语只是为了能读文学作品的时代已经过去。能用英语进行日常交际变得十分必要,而听力在很大程度上影响着一个人的交际能力。正因为如此,越来越多的学生热衷于提高英语听力能力。然而欲速则不达。因为语言是离不开环境的,不管他们在教室里如何努力学习、练习,离开了教室就回到了纯正的中文世界从而脱离了英语环境。所以存在这样的现状:大多数学生可以阅读英文版的的报刊、杂志,但却苦于不能和一个地道的外国人交谈。这篇文章分析了听力的本质,以及学生听力水平差异的种种原因。紧接着列出影响听力理解的一些重要因素且提出相应策略,从而有助于学生提高英语听力。24820

Abstract
With the development of society, science and technology, recognized as a world language, English is becoming more important in China and the number of people communication in English for various purposes is rapidly increasing worldwide. As time passes on, learning a foreign language is not only to read and appreciate literary works. The need of oral communication becomes very urgent, and listening greatly affects communication ability. With this realization, most students are enthusi-astic about improving listening ability. Learners are working hard to master the language. But there exist a real difficulty: however hard they study in the class, once the students leave classroom they are back into a totally Chinese world. They may have the ability to read magazines or journals in English, but they find it very difficult to listen to or communicate with a native English speaker. This paper discusses the issue of improving listening ability. It analyses the natures of listening and the reasons for students' poor listening ability. It also lists the factors that influencing English listening comprehension and the strategies to be taken that might improve students' listening.

Analysis on Factors and Strategies Influencing Non-English Major Students’ Listening Ability Under the Network Environment
I.Introduction
Listening is the most frequently used language skill. It plays a significant role in daily communication and educational process.Effect on non-English major student’s hearing is important under the network environment.
Studies reveal that most people spend as much as 90 percent of their working life in one of the four modes of communication: speaking, reading, writing and listening. Of these four modes, we devote over half of our time to listening. We spend about 30 percent of our time listening to mass communication medial (radial, TV, Internet) and about 25 percent listening to other people (or on the telephone). Clearly then, listening is a critically important skill to master. In spite of its importance, listening ability development has received only slight emphasis in language instruction.
For non—native speakers of English who are in the abroad and come in contact with native English speakers on a regular basis, listening may also prove to be vitally important skill to master. But most of the English non-English major students’ think that the most bothering and most difficult is listening comprehension.
Without question, it is difficult for non-native speaker to understand the listening material, if he has not enough vocabulary and the ability of telling the grammar construction.
