The study of the differences of face view between Chinese and Western culture has always been an important part of the comparative study of them, which is of great significance to the study of cross-cultural communication。 Being face-saving is also a social phenomenon that is prevalent among all the world's people, while different ethnic groups have a perse understanding of face view。 According to Goffman (1967), face has something to do with some emotion, such as “embarrassment”, “humiliation” or “losing face” and it is something that people feel precious in their interactions。 However, the connotation of Chinese people’s “face” can not be contained by the “dignity” of Western。
