Abstract Language and culture have very close relationship in the social environment。 Culture is one of the most important attributes of language while language is one of the most important carriers of culture, resulting in mutual immersion。 At this stage, the stage of enlightenment education is mainly primary school period, and primary school stage is pided into preschool education, low grade and high grade these three specific stages。This thesis highlights the importance of cultural immersion in  primary-school English education by discussing the relationship between language and culture and meanwhile explores the contents and methods for cultural immersion in primary school English education so as to further  improve the effect of primary-school English education by disseminating knowledge of the culture。 Programmed to suit students’ age difference, the culture of English-speaking countries shall be introduced into primary-school English class to improve student learning and to deepen, in the mean time, their understanding of their native culture towards cultivating their language competence and cross-cultural awareness。。94331

摘要 语言与文化在社会环境中有着十分密切的联系，文化是语言最重要的属性之一，语言是文化最重要的载体之一，两者交叉渗透。现阶段，启蒙教育阶段主要是以小学时期为主，而小学阶段又分为学前教育、低年级以及高年级这三个具体阶段。本文通过探讨语言与文化的关系，指出在小学英语教学中渗透文化背景知识的重要性，同时阐述了在小学英语教学中文化背景知识渗透的内容和方法，旨在通过文化背景知识的传播，进一步有效地提高小学英语教学。因而，在英语教学中，应该根据初学者的年龄差异特点渗透英语国家的文化，来增进学生对英语的理解和使用，同时加深其对本国文化的理解与认识，培养学生的跨文化意识，使其能正确运用语言。
