Meanwhile, heuristic teaching is a teaching method that teachers lead students to gain and master new knowledge actively according to objective law of learning process and students’ cognitive structure during the teaching process, whose fundamental spirit is to stimulate students’ intrinsic motivation of learning, mobilize their learning activity and initiative, warm up their active thinking and urge them to use their own brains, mouths and hands to gain knowledge.
 
It requires teachers to take different kinds of methods while teaching in order to lead students’ minds to a positive learning situation. The goal is to make students learn consciously. Thus, teachers had better use heuristic teaching mode to stimulate the enthusiasm of students studying and with a view to achieve better teaching results. And heuristic teaching can be used in all kinds of teaching links and teaching methods. Heuristic teaching can not only help students to master knowledge better, but also help to cultivate their intelligence in English. The so called intelligence lies in observation, memory , thinking ability, and imagination power, English language competence and students’ skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The application of heuristic mode of teaching in primary school classroom can help to cultivate students’ thinking ability and imagination. In addition, using heuristic teaching in practical application or daily practice can not only foster their thinking ability but also enhance their observation capacity, imagination power, English language competence and ability of listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
