In order to examine the effect of the shadowing exercise, the following research questions were proposed for this study:
1. Does the shadowing exercise have any significant impact on students’ listening comprehension?
2. Does the shadowing exercise have any significant impact on students’ other ability?
Based on the above research questions the following null hypotheses were investigated.
HO1: The shadowing exercise can improve students’ listening comprehension.
HO2: The shadowing exercise has impact on students’ speaking ability.
