According to the statistics showed in The Report on the Development of National Education in China made by China’s Ministry of Education in 2013 which was about the current situation and the trend of the English training centers and institution market, there are more than 50,000 English training institutions in all in China and the English training market value is over 30 billion. As a result, the English training industry has become a leader of in the training industry. In addition, there are about 300 million Chinese people are learning English, which is approximately equal with the total number of American population, and that means one in every four people learns English in China.
 The China Youth Daily showed that the China's Foreign Language Education Research Center had made a study among more than 4,000 non-English major students about the time they spend in learning English in 2004. This research showed that 19 percent of them spend almost of all their spare time in learning English and 56 percent of them spend most of their spare time in learning English.
