But can narrative retelling interventions improve Chinese junior middle school students’ narrative skills? And what aspects of narrative retelling skills can be improved with narrative retelling interventions? So the research questions of this study are:
Question1: Does the narrative retelling intervention make any difference between the participants’ pre-test and post-test oral retelling results?
Question2: Is there any difference between the participants’ pre-test and post-test on narrative macrostructure features?
Question3: What is the difference between the participants’ pre-test and post-test on narrative microstructure features?
Overall the whole study, it can be pided into four parts. The literature review introduces the theoretical basis of this study including the knowledge of narratives and narrative interventions. The research design presents the participants, the method and the main procedures of the author’s experiments. All the details of this experiment can be found in this part. The third part is the results and discussions. The data gathered during the experiment were analyzed and discussed. All the data, graphs and results were clearly listed in this part. The last part is the conclusion part. In this part, major findings and limitation were concluded by the author. Besides, some suggestions for further study were given.
