I. Introduction
Analysis of the correspondence between English and Chinese idioms has become increasingly popular in the study of cross-cultural communication. There are numerous publications on the correspondence between English idioms and Chinese idioms to keep pace with the unifying of cultures between the east and the west over the last ten years. Foreign language researchers have become more interested in the correspondence between English idioms and Chinese idioms. Many researchers have studied translation strategies between English idioms and Chinese idioms. We can know that an idiom is a fixed phrase whose meaning can’t be derived from the literal meaning of its words. It may be very difficult to translate the English idioms and Chinese idioms accurately, because idioms are the product of human culture and controlled by culture. Idiom translation is a very complicated process. Translators should devote considerable amount of time to determining the specific meanings of idioms in light of the context in actual translation. 英汉习语的对应关系及其翻译策略探析:http://www.youerw.com/yingyu/lunwen_52940.html
