3。2 Traits of micro lecture

 Micro lecture has lots of traits。 The time of a micro lecture is very short and its capacity is little 。 The time of a micro lecture generally controls within 5-8 minutes, not more than 15 minutes, which directly leads to the little capacity of a micro lecture。 Basically, one knowledge point will be elaborated only in one micro video。 It accords with the cognitive traits of middle school students。 Micro lecture also make students concentrated in a short time to acquire knowledge。

Micro lecture also has features of outstanding theme and exquisite content。 Micro class is aimed to solve the remaining questions of some important knowledge in classroom, which makes it’s teaching content more compendious, theme more prominent。 Of course, the theme of each micro lecture will be carefully pided and chosen before making videos。

According to classroom teaching methods, micro lecture can be classified into 11 categories: lecture, question and answer, enlightenment, discussion, demonstration, practice,  performance,experiment, cooperative learning, self-directed learning and inquiry learning, among which the most popular types of micro lecture are lecture and experiment。

The lecture category is the most common type in micro-lecture competitions and platforms。 It is suitable for teachers to impart knowledge to students with colloquial  manners。 In terms of English classes, to introduce background information, authors and literary knowledge are all can be designed for this type。
