摘要中国自改革开放以来，和西方英语国家的文化交流日益广泛和密切，而电影这种艺术形式，也越来越多的涌入中外文化交流之中。由此，关于英语电影片名汉语翻译的研究也日渐兴起。就一部电影来讲，观众最先接触的是电影的标题，因而在对英语电影标题进行翻译时应准确反映电影的主题内容，思想情感，同时结合汉语文化的特点，力求在现原语文化和汉语文化的完美结合，以使观众更好的理解所传递的文化内涵。所以，本文采用比较分析的方法，着重研究英语电影片名汉译的文化对等原则，用以揭示该原则在英文电影标题汉译中的重要作用和价值，并在文化对等原则的指导下合理运用翻译手段，让汉译片名达到与英文片名相应的作用，进而更好的在现原语文化，实现真正意义上的跨文化交际。81993

Abstract   Since the reform and opening-up in China, cultural exchanges have become increasingly extensive and frequent between China and foreign countries。 The film, an artistic form, has entered sino-foreign exchanges。 Thereby, the study of English film title translation is being carried out。 For a movie, the first part that the audience can see and read is the film’s title, thus, when the English film title translated, the film’s thought and theme has to be reflected precisely。 Meanwhile, the perfect combination of English culture and Chinese culture should be recreated by incorporating the characteristics of Chinese culture。 Only in this way can Chinese audience understand the cultural connotation expressed in the English film。 The cultural equivalence used in the translation of English film title is mainly discussed by applying comparative analysis in order to reveal the value and importance of cultural equivalence during the English film title translation in this thesis。 And under the guidance of cultural equivalence, translators also should make the functions of the translated Chinese title of English film correspond to the content of the English film title through reasonable application of translation approaches, so as to reproduce the culture reflected in the original film title successfully and fulfill the real cultural exchanges。
