2。2 Functions of Lexical Chunk

Previous studies show that lexical chunks are helpful to L2 learning, because chunks contribute to the aspect of language fluency, accuracy, creativeness and cohesion to a large extent。 Meanwhile, lexical chunks increase learners motivation greatly。 Therefore, exploring the functions of lexical chunk is pedagogically useful。 On the one hand, it shows the lexical chunks in L2 learners written and spoken language is important; on the other hand, it also shows the direction of lexical chunk applied in L2 teaching process。
