Because English and Chinese belong to different language families, there is a big difference in their writing structure。 Although the attributive clauses are very common in English, it is one of the structures that do not belong to Chinese。 Therefore, when we translate the complex sentence with the attributive clause into Chinese, we need to make appropriate adjustments with greater flexibility。 In the specific translation, we must make well sense of logical conception of the original text and make reasonable arrangement for the translation of word order。 What’s more, we will adopt different methods of translation according to its structure and meaning。
II。 Basic Concepts of the Attributive Clause

2。2。1 Relative Pronouns Introduce Attributive Clause
Replaced by relative pronoun, the antecedent is the noun or pronoun of person or object, which is in the sentence as subject in the attributive clause, the predicate verb must agree with the antecedent in person and number
(1) who, whom, that
These words instead of human antecedent noun or pronoun is in the clause of the role as follows
Is he the man who/that wants to see you?
他就是想见你的人吗?(who/that as subject in the clause)
He is the man whom/ that I saw yesterday
他就是我昨天见的那个人。(whom/that as object in the clause)
(2) Whose
The relative pronoun “Whose” is used for people or object,(just as attributive ,but for object, it can be interchanged with the structure “of which”)。 For example:
They rushed over to help the man whose car had broken down。
那人车坏了,大家都跑过去帮忙
Please pass me the book whose(of which) cover is green
请递给我那本绿皮书。
(3) Which, that
The antecedent replaced by them is the object of noun and pronoun。 It can be used for subject, object and so on。 For example:
