This project is a multi-storey public building and its fire resistance rating is determined to be Grade II. The minimum fire separation distance between the main building of the school complex and the surrounding buildings is also greater than 9m, meeting the regulatory requirements. There are circular fire lanes around the building. The pision of the horizontal fire protection zone of the building pides the underground floor of the building into two fire prevention zones. The ground floor and the ground two floors are classified as a fire zone. The three floors above the ground and the four floors above the ground are pided into a fire zone. The vertically-spreading sections of fires, such as vertical boreholes, stairwells, and external windows, are pided into vertical firebreaks. The building has a total of 117 safety exits. At the same time, 4 stairwells are set on each floor, and all stairwells are set as closed stairwells and Class B fire doors are used.

The burning performance level of the ceiling of some above-ground reading rooms, conference rooms, air-conditioning rooms, and atriums of the building is A, and the ceiling combustion performance level of science and technology activity rooms and general affairs warehouses is B1. The fire performance rating of the ceiling in all parts of the ground floor is A. The burning performance of ceiling decoration materials can be reduced by one level, and the burning performance levels of other decoration materials may not be limited.

    Three 5kg portable MF/ABC5 fire extinguishers are selected for each fire extinguisher set point in this project, and the number of fire extinguishers should be determined for each calculation unit.

The water column installed in the indoor fire hydrant system has a full water column length of 12.0 m, a nozzle diameter of 19 mm, and a flow rate of 5.2 L/s. A 65-mm-diameter hemp braid is used. The spacing of the fire hydrants was 22.48m, the required water pressure for the hydrant bolts was 52mH2O, the designed water consumption of the indoor fire hydrant system was 15L/s, and the indoor firefighting water consumption was 43.98L/s. Fire duration 2h. The system uses fire-fighting pump water supply methods, selects fire hydrant pump models, and sets fire pools.

The fire level of the above-ground part of the building is a light danger level, and the underground part is a medium-risk level II. The automatic sprinkler system is designed as a wet automatic sprinkler system, and the system uses a central central water supply method to spray. Designed automatic sprinkler system parameters, hydraulic calculations, nozzle placement, and selection of sprinkler networks.

    The above-ground part of the building adopts natural smoke extraction. The underground floor uses mechanical smoke, smoke exhaust, and fan selection.

This building adopts the form of an alarm system of the fire control center and adopts both automatic and manual triggering devices. The system has a fire control room with an area of 11.4m2; the alarm call goes directly to the municipal fire department; the fire emergency broadcast is designed; two manual alarm devices are installed on each floor of the building and set in the corridor. A total of 109 point-type smoke detectors were installed.
