Abstract In this paper, the secondary metabolites of an endophyte F4 isolated from the leaves of Solidago canadensis were collected and the allelopathic effect of them on five kinds of plant seeds , Suzhou green, cucumber, radish and black sesame seeds, was also studied。 The results showed that the ethyl acetate extract of F4 strain fermented broth was most pronounced effect on rapeseed and black sesame。 Separated by the methods of silica gel column chromatography and thin layer chromatography detection, we obtained three organic solvent elution segments from the F4 fermentation extract。 The effects of three segments on rape and black sesame seeds were different at the concentration of 0。5mg / ml and 1mg / ml。 With increasing concentration of different elution segments, the inhibition on seed germination and seedling growth of the two plant increased。 But low concentrations experimental groups could increase the weight of black sesame seedlings by promoting the formation of protein and polysaccharide substances, at the same time, also promoted the formation of chlorophyll a and b。 The low polarity elution segments showed more stronger inhibition on rape seed germination and seedling growth。 The weight of seedling was suppressed by decreasing the production of protein and polysaccharide。 With the increase of concentration, the inhibition of the metabolite for two kinds of seed were stronger。
