Study on Sorption of Azo Dyes by Crosslinked Chitosan Membrane
Abstract:Printing and dyeing wastewater is a kind of industry wastewater to be hardly treated with the characteristics of high chroma and changeful colour.The industrialized way is acombinative method with flocculation and biology.So flocculantion plays an important partin dealing with . Chitosan had good flocculating effect to many kinds of dyes because ofits special molecular structure. Under the condition of different dye concentration, PH,salt content and temperatures , adopting the spectrophotometrically to measure adsorb after the concentratiaon of the dye , the authors got the best condition of adsorbing the chitosan for acid dye .The results show that under the condition of fixedly the dye concentration and physical volume,the amount of devotion of the chitosan the adsorb was the best under the glutaric dialdehyde of 0.6 mL,PH was worth to 6,temperature for indoor temperature,time of absorb 1.5.Solution PH and degree of cross linking have great influence on the adsorption, but have very little influence of NaCl concentration and temperature on adsorption.The complex structure of dyes, the decolorization effect is poor.The result would be made use of the chitosan to treat the printing dye the waste water to provide the certain theories basis.This paper studied the synthesis of modified chitosan andits application in printing and dyeing wastewater.
