Abstract In international business, trading parties will sign English Business Contracts after confirming the trading relations。 However, due to the difference in language and culture, they often have disputes。 The study of lexical repetition in English Business Contracts can reduce disputes arising from improper wording。 First, this thesis introduces the definition and structure of English Business Contracts。 On the basis of the definition and classifications of lexical repetition, the thesis mainly discusses the application of lexical repetition in different parts of English Business Contracts。 And with the analysis of examples, the thesis finds that lexical repetition in English Business Contracts can help to avoid ambiguity and make the text formal。 Finally, the thesis concludes that in the English Business Contracts, the function of lexical repetition can promote our country's international trade exchanges and cooperation。92690

摘要在国际贸易中,贸易双方在确定贸易合作关系后签订英语商务合同。但由于语言、文化的差异,贸易双方经常会产生纠纷。对英语商务合同的词汇重复进行研究,可以减少因用词不当而产生的贸易纠纷。首先本文介绍了英语商务合同的定义和结构,然后介绍了词汇重复的定义和分类。接着本文主要通过举例论述词汇重复在英语商务合同各个部分中的应用,分析发现合同中的词汇重复可使合同更严谨。最后得出结论:英语商务合同中,词汇重复的功能可以促进国际贸易的交流和合作。

With the development of economic globalization and integration, the international business grows rapidly and has formed a large part of the world affairs。 After implementing the policy of reforming and opening and establishing the market economy, China, as one of the largest developing countries, has showed its influential economic strength and powerful economic impetus by its prosperous business transactions with foreign countries whose official language or mother tongue is English。 During the course of international economic cooperation, many business activities have been performed between Chinese and foreign partners, mainly including technological introduction, foreign trade, international finance, direct foreign investment, international tourism, business advertisement, business contract translation, etc。 When people, especially legal or business persons, communicate with inpiduals or organizations from the English speaking countries, one of the most important and necessary segments is to sign English Business Contracts with them after the several rounds of negotiations by face to face, telephone or other electronic means。
