摘 要《愤怒的葡萄》是美国现实主义作家约翰•斯坦贝克的作品。作品主要描写了在美国二十世纪三十年代经济大萧条下一户贫困农民背井离乡，西行逃荒的悲惨故事。本文运用生态女性主义理论对小说进行分析和解读，以一种新的视角来解读小说所包含的深意。通过对小说中两位女性人物乔德母亲和罗撒香的生动描述，展示了自然和女性的美好品质。同时，也得出结论人类为中心的二元论和大男子主义是自然和女性压抑的原因。本文运用生态女性主义理论对小说进行分析，为研究《愤怒的葡萄》提供了一种新的方向。40712

Abstract The Grapes of Wrath is written by John Steinbeck, a famous American realist writer. It shows us a miserable story happened in 1930, a poor family of migrant peasants who are forced to leave their home because of economic hardship and changes, then decided to move west. This thesis bases research on the application of the ecofeminist theory to analyze and understand this novel, use a new way to have better understanding of the story. Through the vivid portrayal of the two female characters Ma Joad and Rose of Shoran in the novel, it shows the admirably qualities of nature and women, meanwhile, this thesis draws a conclusion that authropocentic dualism and androcentrism are the causes of the oppression of the nature and women. It applies the ecofeminist theory to analyze the novel aiming to provide a new way in the study of the novel.

I. Introduction
John Steinbeck was one of the most famous American novelists in the last century. From childhood, Steinbeck was attracted by the European and American literature. John spent his vacations working on farms and with migrant workers on ranch. His later writing9 had big relation with these experiences. Among all Steinbeck works, The Grapes of Wrath was considered to be the best one. It was the top seller of 1939 and remained first rank of best-seller list throughout 1940. It exposed the desperate circumstances in which the farm families of America had to move during the great depression. Steinbeck sharply showed the social problem with a satire and humor way of writing. Through the portray of different destinies of female figures, Steinbeck showed the reasons of the destruction of ecology and the tragedy of women. Meanwhile, The Grapes of Wrath gave readers a good resource to reconsider the solutions to solve the ecological environment development and human discrimination issues. Steinbeck was trying to use The Grapes of Wrath to establish the new evaluation standard of harmonious relationship between women and men. The novel had a special practical importance, because it gave readers the useful ecological wisdom of the plagued living environment in a friend way.
The Grapes of Wrath had caused long time criticism after it had been came out, it. In 1944, the critical book about The Grapes of Wrath was published which was written by Martin Staples Shockley titled The Reception of The Grapes of Wrath. With the effect of political environment, lots of critics praised this book as proletarian. Wilson cast Steinbeck as the crudest sort of a naturalist. It led to a tendency to speak Steinbeck with lack of artistic invention and closeness to politics and reality. After his death, some people began to be interested in works of Steinbeck which rose to a kind of climax. There are numerous critical studies and collections of critical essays were published. Although there are many studies about The Grapes of Wrath which are published every year, some other aspects need to be mentioned more.
