3. The Current Situation of Tourism English Translation and the Corresponding Strategies

Broadly speaking, the translation of tourism materials at home is in urgent need of a specific standard and principle. And the standard is not normalized and unified enough. So, a series of problems have appeared in the translation, including mistranslation, random translation, employed perse translation methods and so on. In the current stage, researches conducted by domestic scholars are mainly confined within some fields which are comparatively scattered and single, and a systematic and comprehensive elaboration is also in desperate need. Though the problems of standardization in translation are discussed at some time, few fruitful and rewarding results are truly yielded. Some common problems that occur in the tourism English translation will be exemplified as below.
