Abstract Reading literary works is quite necessary for any language learning。 English learning is no exception。 Learning English also requires so much reading for supporting just like any other language learning。 As one of the most  important learning contents in the English education of primary and middle schools, the requirements are that the primary and middle school students should finish a lot of reading in English learning。 Therefore, children’s literature which treats children as its target readers becomes a very important teaching resource。 Children’s literature teaching in primary school accords with the psychological features of pupils,  meets the requirements of New Curriculum Standard and adapts to the change of traditional views, which benefits their cultural acquirement。 However, the literature teaching in schools is severely deficient。 Teaching methods are not perfect enough and activities are not rich in the English teaching。 In view of these problems, measures should be taken to arouse students’ interest, improve teaching facilities and broaden students’ extracurricular reading。 In this thesis the author is going to put forward  the significance of children’s literature teaching, propose further methods and countermeasures of children’s literature teaching on the basis of English education in primary and secondary schools, hoping to be able to make the best use of children’s literature teaching in middle and primary school English education。73942

摘要 任何语言的学习,都需要聆听和阅读大量的口头故事和文学作品,英语语言

的学习也不例外。英语学习与其他语言学习一样,需要大量的阅读为支撑。中小 学英语教育中的一个重要学习内容,就是中小学生必须通过大量的阅读来进行英 语学习。因此以青少年为目标读者的儿童文学作品,自然是非常重要的教学资源。 在小学英语教育中开展儿童文学教学,符合小学生语言学习的心理特征,符合英 语新课程标准的要求,顺应我国传统儿童观的转变,有利于文化素养的提高。然 而目前中小学英语教育中儿童文学教学非常缺失,教学设施不够完善,课外活动 不够丰富。针对这些弊病,应积极采取措施,努力激发学生的兴趣,改善教学设 施,扩大学生的课外阅读量。本文在此基础上提出了小学英语教育中开展儿童文 学教学的意义,提出了在小学英语教育中进一步开展儿童文学教学的方法和对策, 希望能够充分发挥儿童文学在小学英语教育中的教学作用。
