Abstract In the process of learning English, words learning and accumulation directly affect the students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing ability。 But students cognitive ability and learning ability is limited。 There are large differences between English and Chinese words。 In addition, the current English teaching mode has many problems。 Boring teaching process and single teaching form is difficult to effectively mobilize the enthusiasm of students。 It is difficult to achieve teaching effectiveness。 Phonics teaching method can not only effectively cultivate students’ interest in learning, but also active atmosphere in order to make students actively involved in the classroom, phonics teaching method into English vocabulary teaching is imperative。 Based on some relevant theoretical, this thesis mainly discusses the application of Phonics in primary school English teaching from three aspects respectively, from teaching letters and letter combinations to teaching spelling and writing words。 At last, it discusses consolidating Phonics in reading。 74462

摘要 在学习英语的过程中，单词学习和积累直接影响着学生的听说能力，阅读能力和写作能力。但小学生认知能力和学习能力有限，英语单词与汉语单词存在较大差异，加之当前英语教学模式存在诸多问题，授课过程枯燥乏味，教学形式单一，难以有效调动学生的积极性，教学有效性难以得到保障。phonics 教学法不仅能够有效培养学生的学习兴趣，更能够活跃课堂气氛，使学生积极参与到课堂中。基于理论基础上，本文着重讨论了自然拼读法在小学英语教学中的应用，从教字母及字母组合到教拼写单词，最后通过阅读巩固自然拼读法，针对这三方面分别进行深入的探讨。

  另外，针对自然拼读法的应用，还提出了一些建议，以期为自然拼读法在小学英语教学中的应用提供指导意义。
