3。2 Beauty of form

     Four-character structure is generally used in the Chinese translation of English movie titles 。This is because four-word title structure is rigorous, concise as well as expressive, and conforms to the language habits of the Chinese people。 It can almost be applied to any kind of grammatical relationship and meet the needs of structural transformation。 The form of symmetry and harmony is solemn as well as elegant, meeting the aesthetic requirements of Chinese language culture。 Four-characters with good symmetry and strong expressiveness are deeply rooted in the rich cultural soil of the Chinese language, reflecting a high degree of aesthetic characteristics。 Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close has two translation versions :《咫尺浩劫》、《特别响，非常近》， obviously the former is better than the latter; Who Shall Live and Who Shall Die is translated into 《生杀大权》which is much better than《谁该死来谁该活》。 There are many similar cases:《生死时速》（Speed) ;《老无所依》(No Country for Old Men) ;《阿甘正传》（Forrest Gump) ;《亡命天涯》（The fugitive) ;《石破天惊》(The Rock) ;《美国往事》（Once Upon a Time in America)。etc。 Besides,some movie titles are not four-character structure, but also can leave a deep impression on Chinese audience , such as:Zootopia(《疯狂动物城》）；Charlie Bravo（《查理敢死队》），Sense and Sensibility（《理智与情感》），Sleepless in Seattle（《西雅图夜未眠》）。This is because they are reflected a beauty of form, meeting the aesthetic concept of Chinese。 Combined with the excellent story,    these titles impress the audience。
