Nowadays, the world is in a technological era featured by information technology。 With the rapid development of science and technology, the informatization of social life and economy globalization, English has become an important tool for international communication。 Learning English is no longer just a slogan for just a few people, but becomes a reasonable composition of citizen qualities in the new century。 The popularization of English curriculum in primary school promotes the process of quality education。 However, because of the low and late start of primary school English education, and the problems of widespread single teaching model in primary school English, many school teachers just simply teach textbook knowledge, but neither pay attention to the cultivation of students' interest in English learning, nor the guidance of the correct and scientific learning method, which causes certain effects on primary school English learning。 论文网

Scientific methods should be used in English learning。 Pupils' self-control and self-learning ability are in their formative stages, so blindly cramming will only reach an opposite effect。 Besides, boring teaching is harder to attract the attention of students。 Developing the interest of pupils for primary school English educators in learning English is undoubtedly very important。 Only by making students interested in English learning, will they be willing to go to school, to learn, to learn harder, and finally to learn English better。

In the background of curriculum reform, the primary school English education in China develops rapidly and has made major breakthroughs in many aspects。 However，many issues remain to be discussed。 Presently, the preschool education is weak, and students just have a zero basis of English。 So when learning English, many students are lack of enthusiasm and independent consciousness。 Meanwhile, parents usually take English as a test for their children to deal with, but not develop the interest of English learning for children。 However, the point is that interest is the main motivation for students to study English and the key to help them set up correct purposes of English learning。 The English curriculum standard points out that the motivation and development of students’ interest in English learning should be the primary task。 Interest is the key for students to learn English well。 So it is an important task for English teacher to stimulate students' interest in English learning。 文献综述

Therefore, the research on the strategies and methods of developing the pupils’ interest in English learning has become an important issue for parents, teachers and even the society。 By studying the problems existing in primary schools’ English education of China, analyzing the factors that affect the interest of primary school students' English learning, and trying to find the methods that will improve the  students' interest in English learning to provide English teachers some teaching references for classroom teaching of modern primary school。 If so, this will help teachers learn from experience in teaching, and improve the quality of teaching so as to change the condition that current primary school English teaching in our country attaches too much importance to the exam-oriented education。 

Chapter Two Literature review
