摘 要学习动机作为英语学习中的重要因素,对学生的英语学习具有直接的影响并且已经引起了大家的广泛关注。国内外的许多专家学者如Dornyei, Gardner,高一虹做了等大量的研究,但是很少有人研究师范院校非英语专业学生英语学习的动机。因此,笔者将设计调查周口师范学院非英语专业的学生英语学习的动机,以填补这方面的空缺。
本研究通过问卷调查和访谈的形式,旨在找出师范院校非英语专业的学生英语学习的以及影响他们动机的因素。通过数据分析和平均值计算,发现非英语学生英语学习中的问题,并有针对性地提出一些建议。调查显示学生的主要动机类型为工具型动机,内在动机和外在动机。影响学生学习动机的主要因素有课堂环境,社会需要和他们的自身因素。因此教师应采取一定的提高学生对英语学习的内在兴趣。同时学生自己也要建立学好英语的自信心多和老师同学进行交流。

Abstract Learning motivation, as an essential factor to English studying, has a direct influence on students’ English learning, thus has aroused extensive attention。 A great number of researches on English learners’ motivation have been conducted by many researchers at home and abroad, such as Dornyei, Gardner, Gao Yihong, and etc。, but few of them pay attention to non-English majors’ in normal universities。 Therefore, this study is designed to investigate the English learning motivation of them, in order to fill up the blank in this field。
The questionnaire and interview are used to find out the main types of motivation of non-English majors’ and factors which affect motivation。 Then, through the date analysis, the author finds the problems existing in their English learning and accordingly gives some suggestions for them。 This study reveals that most students possess instrumental motivation, intrinsic and extrinsic motivation and the main factors influencing students’ learning motivation are classroom environment, social needs, and the leaners themselves。 Therefore, teachers need take measures to stimulate students’ interest。 At the same time, students need to establish their self-confidence and often communicate with their teachers and classmates。
