摘 要 信件用语是一种交流工具，在《傲慢与偏见》中信件用语被广泛的运用。该小说是一部成功的作品，目前有很多学者分析其成功的因素，但很少聚焦于其信件用语的人际功能。《傲慢与偏见》中信件用语人际功能的实现是小说成功的关键。本篇论文就作品中信件用语的人际功能进行探析，通过例子分析来阐述该书中信件用语的人际功能，使人们以新的角度来欣赏《傲慢与偏见》。80201

Abstract The language of letters is a kind of communication tool which is used frequently in Pride and Prejudice。 The novel is an achievement。 There are so many scholars who have studied the factors that result in its success。 However, they never pay enough attention to the interpersonal function of language of letters in it。 The achievement of interpersonal function of language of letters is a key to the successful novel。 The paper explores language of letters’ interpersonal function in the work and illustrates the language of letters’ interpersonal function in the book by analyzing some examples which can make people appreciate Pride and Prejudice in a new angle of view。

I。 Introduction 

The writing letters is a way to communicate to the outside world。 It is convenient to maintain our contact when we are at such a distance。 We use language for an almost infinite number of purposes, from writing letters to chatting with our friends, making speeches and stating the facts。 But, the primary function of language is to transmit information and to convey commands, feelings and emotions。 That is, language is a tool of communication。 And, many letters are used widely in Pride and Prejudice which make the work out of the ordinary。

 The language of letters, as a component part of the fine work, plays a vital role in this work。 It has unique functions which are as follows in detail。 On one hand, the language of letters which illustrates the characters’ emotion, invites the characters’ psychological activity and shows the characters’ personality information。 On the other hand, the language of letters can lead in the great jump of the plot which makes more uncertainties and render the text to openness。 Finally, it can provide the variable narrative sight in this novel to make the reader enjoy a wealth of aesthetic experience。文献综述
