摘要家庭教育是孩子成长过程中接受教育的第一步,也是文化价值研究的核心,它对孩子的成长有着很大的影响。民族素质很大程度上是从家庭教育中发展起来的,因此,家庭教育的发展尤为重要。本文通过对比中美家庭节目《家有儿女》和《摩登家庭》,首先从家庭教育的目标、内容、方法、结果等方面探讨了中美家庭教育中存在的差异,然后分析研究表明中国当代家庭教育应当强调对孩子独立性的培养,改进教育方式。本文研究能够加强中美两国之间家庭文化的差异与融合,对促进我国孩子的健康成长、提高未成年人的综合素质有一定的现实意义。83055

Abstract Family education is the first step where children accept education, and it is also the core of culture value research。 So it has an essential effect on human being’s life。 The quality of the nation is mostly based on family education, therefore, the development of family education is essential for all of us。 This paper attempts to compare the examples from Modern Family and Home with Kids to explore the differences from objectives, contents, methods and results of Chinese and American family education。 According to the analysis, modern Chinese family education should emphasize on the cultivation of children’s independence and transfer their mode of education。 This paper can also promote the communication of family education between China and America。 What’s more, it has the realistic meaning in guaranteeing Chinese children’s growth and improving their comprehensive qualities。

An Analysis of Differences in Family Education Between China and America from Modern Family and Home with Kids。 

I。 Introduction

Family education has an important effect on children’s growth during the process of interaction between parents and children。 It is the foundation of school education and social education。 It plays an essential role in moulding children’s value toward the world。 As China and America are the two typical countries from Asia and Western world, parents from these two countries will hold totally different views toward family education。 For instance, most of Chinese parents will be in the authority position in their families while in American family, parents and children usually be in an equal relation。 In children’s cultivation, most of Chinese parents want to see their children being successful and being outstanding while American parents pay more attention to children’s character and their creativity。 These aspects have caused many modern Chinese children somewhat stiff and timid。 Their lives are usually arranged by their parents, children just need to follow the orders and behave well, sometimes their own desire for different ways of development may be treated as rebel。 But for American children, however, being themselves is an essential part of their family education。 Making decisions for themselves and taking responsibilities for their decisions are the things that they should keep in mind。 For this, American children’s inpiduality are gradually set up。
