Abstract: The last century 20's to 30's, Henan Xinxian County area had many red songs, these songs are widely absorbed the local folk music features, and spread in a war of life, in masses heart deeply entrenched, left indelible imprint, Xinxian County red songs the product of a specific period, no matter the melody or style is a form of music which is worth discussing. This paper red songs as the breakthrough point, analysis of survey and music theory, the systematic arrangement of the song, through the analysis of the historical background, geographical location, to explore the characteristics of music,understanding of the audience, "red songs" understanding and sympathy, to review the history of the legendary red at. By now the inheritance and development of "red songs" in Xinxian County, to explore the construction of spiritual civilization in meaning, that its cultural connotation and value.

新县地处河南省南部，位于大别山腹地，属于豫皖鄂三省的结合区，新县经历过红四方面军、红二十五方面军，红二十八方面军，徐向前、董必武、李先念、徐海东，王树声等革命前辈在这里留下了他们的印迹，培育了许世友、郑文山、李德生等九十三位为国奋斗的将军和省级以上的领导干部。当时不足十万人的新县献出了高敬亭、吴焕先、叶成焕等5.5万革命儿女的宝贵生命，为中国革命的解放勇于捐躯，是闻名全国的革命老区和“将军县”。[1]
在革命战争时期，“红色”一词被赋予了特别的含义，即：向上的、革命的、进步的意义。与此同时，如：红色思想、红色文学等名词的出现，无一不体现了那段历史。[2]当然红色歌曲也产生在这个特殊的时代背景下，当人们面对着一种伟大的精神无法用言语来表达时，于是便把心中的感情宣泄于纸上，从而流出一串串动人的音符，激励人们继续战斗，每一首红歌都映照着当时最激动人心，最难以忘怀的时代进程。每一首红歌都记载了一段传奇，也反映了战争年代的革命英雄主义精神，高昂的斗志，深厚的感情以及热血沸腾的战争场面，而这些歌曲的作者都是历史的见证者，足以可见他们在抗战中所产生的真切情感，才会流传出如此之多的经典歌曲。
