2。1 Reception Theory
Reception theory was put forward by German Professor Hans Robert Jauss in 1967, which treats the receivers as its core and makes people think about “reception” mostly (Jauss, 1987)。 The book Receptional Aesthetic and Reception Theory written by Jauss and Holub says “when the readers receive a work for the first time, they must use the aesthetic sense which they got from former works。” and “the readers’ understanding will be kept and richer within the chain of reception (Jauss, 1987, p。 339)。”来,自.优;尔:论[文|网www.youerw.com +QQ752018766-
As another famous scholar who supports reception theory, Wolfgang Iser considered it from microcosmic perspective。 Iser (2000) said, “。。。 literary anthropology is a direct branch of reception theory, and it tries to handle the questions that the latter left dangling, because literature is not entirely covered by its interaction with readers and with referential realities。。。 That a literary text does something to readers means it tells us something about them。 Thus literature turns into a pining rod, locating our dispositions, desires, and inclinations and eventually our overall makeup (Iser, 2000, p。 311)。” Iser (2000) thought reception theory pays more attention to the influence of literary text and reaction of readers, not only the meaning of text。
