Abstract  Me Before You, a British-produced film was made on a shoestring budget。 However, it gained considerable popularity among the Chinese audience。 But because of the language barriers, it is difficult for the Chinese audience to appreciate the film without Chinese subtitle。 As a result, an appropriate subtitle translation is necessary and important。 Eco-translatology,  is proposed by Prof。Hu Gensheng。 Based on many ancient Chinese eco-wisdom, such as “the unity of Heaven and Humanity”, “the doctrine of the Golden Mean”, and “the principle of human-centredness”, the theory also implies the well-known Darwin’s “natural selection” and “survival of the fittest”。 The theory is based on the adaptation and selection, exploring the translation ecology, text ecology, translation community ecology and their relationship and influence with and on each other。 The thesis intends to analyze the subtitle translation of the film Me Before You from the perspective of Eco-translatology, focusing on the three dimensions of linguistics, culture and communication to find the adaptation and selection, trying to further discover the subtitle translation with the assistance of the rising subject。93289

摘要改编自纽约时报畅销书榜，乔乔莫伊丝原著小说Me Before You （《遇见你之前》）被英国电影公司搬上银幕之后，一直占据着微博热搜榜，深受中国观众喜爱。然而由于英语普及及学习能力有限，许多观众还是要借助字幕来观影，因此贴切的电影字幕翻译就显得尤为重要。生态翻译学由清华大学教授胡庚申提出，是以达尔文生物进化论中的“自然选择”，“适者生存”为基石的翻译理论。该理论将翻译生态环境视为一个包含源语、原文和译语的系统，而翻译就是译者适应翻译生态环境的选择活动。译者要在翻译过程中把握好语言维、文化维和交际维的三维转换。本文拟从生态翻译学视角，剖析电影Me Before You (《遇见你之前》)字幕翻译，重点从语言维、文化维及交际维三个方面探究该电影字幕翻译过程中的适应性选择与转换,以期对生态翻译学用于电影字幕翻译做一点探索。

1。 Introduction 

     From its inception, the film industry was considered as an international affair, because those pictures shown to the public were sets of instant and realistic ones without noise。 As a result, translation was not needed then。 However, as time goes by, people have increasingly found that sound is an inevitable part in films。 Although subtitle translation is getting advanced in those years, there are still many language barriers in the translating process。 Therefore, it is essential to pay attention to the subtitle translation and reduce cross-cultural barriers as much as possible。 Me Before You, directed by Thea Sharrock, is based on a novel of the same name。 Although the film is not released in China, it makes a hit through the Internet。 For there is no official dubbed one, so many Chinese audience have to depend on the Chinese subtitle to enjoy the loved film。 文献综述 生态翻译学视角下电影《遇见你之前》的字幕翻译:http://www.youerw.com/yingyu/lunwen_201105.html
