With 2016 being the election of America, continuous reported news during the process of the election led to incessant public controversies。 One is Trump, the New York tycoon who often made the astonishing language。 The other is Hilary, the Secretary of State Hilary, who is caught by the email controversy。 The British Financial Times believes that this Field showdown will become ‘the dirtiest battle’ in the history of the presidential election in the United States。 I try to analyze the essence through the phenomenon of the US presidential election and compare the similarities and differences of election in China and the United states。 From studying the election of America, we can learn more about the electoral system and legal system in America。 Also, we can learn more about the speech style of the president, which is good for us to learn English well。 As a student majored in English, we should try our best to learn the election of America which is related to the culture of America。 Through learning the election, we can improve our understanding of English as well as the culture of America。 All in all, it is indispensible for us to study the electoral system in Chinese and America。

2。 Literature Review

After consulting the existing studies about the election of leaders in China and America, I found that those studies have investigated the similarities and differences of the election of the leaders between China and America。 Their researches laid emphasis on the introduction of the characteristics of the electoral system rather than the deep courses of the difference in culture。 A plenty of writers researched from the perspective of the similarities in the system of election, and the differences in the election funds, respective interests and the salary of respective representatives and so on。 However, their researches didn’t refer to the perspective of the language culture and the style of leaders’ speech。 As an old saying goes, language culture represent the most important character of one nation。 What’s more, their researches didn’t refer to the perspective of the advantages of election of leaders in America。 In fact, we should admit the advantages of others and realize our own disadvantages at the same time。 Also, we should follow the principle of “discard the dross and select the essence as well。” That means we shouldn’t intimate others regardless of the current situation of China。 After fully recognizing the merits and demerits of the electoral systems of China and America, we can improve the leaders of election in China and build a moderately prosperous society。 中美选举体系对比研究:http://www.youerw.com/yingyu/lunwen_201960.html
