1.2 Significance of the Study
       Due to the differences of characteristics and cultural values between English and Chinese, those two kinds of euphemisms appear distinctive. Tracing the source of their language systems and cultural backgrounds to find the differences is benefit to eliminate barriers from cross-cultural communication and strengthen cultural exchange.
