In Western countries, taboos on the names of gods are very strict．For the people who believe in Christianity, God exists everywhere, they are strictly prohibited from calling God’s name directly and the name of God and other words connected with the religion can only be used in the religious situations. Jesus Christ was a Jew who lived in Palestine 2000 years ago and is accepted by Christians as the Son of God. So in these countries, the religious terms like God, Christ, Jesus Christ etc, are only properly used in religion. If they appear in casual talk or in a joke, they will make people unpleasant and disgusted. As for the opponent of God , Satan, English people also have taboos on it such as the Evil one.
