Foreignization and domestication were first suggested by Schleiermacher, a Germany philosopher. He raised two strategies of translation: one is the translator make the author’s language close to readers from the perspective of readers; another is the translator help readers to understand the author from the perspective of author. The former one is Domestication. It means translators translate the word accessible for readers according to the readers’ language, culture and habits. The latter one is Foreignization: while dealing with the source language, translator retains the exoticism so that readers could realize the new expression. 从归化异化角度浅谈字幕翻译策略以美剧NIKITA为例(2):http://www.youerw.com/yingyu/lunwen_67514.html
