摘要新闻标题作为“新闻的眼睛”,与新闻内容密切相关,不仅为表现主题服务，也是吸引读 者的重要手段。本文从《纽约时报》和《人民日报》收集了的大量新闻标题，对比英汉报 纸叙事性新闻标题的异同。研究发现，中文报纸和英文报纸“叙事性”标题在语言特征即 句法和时态部分具有差异，但在语用动因和语用功能方面，差异不大。在媒体竞争激烈的 趋势下，叙事性标题的使用有助于提高新闻传播速度，增强新闻语言的形象性和具象性， 同时顺应读者的认知需求，有利于提高报纸的知名度和认可度。77324

Title A Pragmatic Contrastive Analysis of the Narrative Headlines in Chinese and English Newspapers
Abstract As the "eye" of news, news headlines is closely related with the content of the news。 News headline serves the subject, summarizes the theme of the news, reveals the news value。 At the same time, it is an important tool to attract the readers。 The narration of news headlines is the main research object。 Collecting headlines from New York Times and People's Daily, the research provides a comparative analysis of narrative headlines between English and Chinese newspapers。 Through the comparative analysis, it can be concluded that there are differences between Chinese newspapers and English newspapers in terms of linguistic features, which include syntax and tense。 But there are not significant differences in pragmatic motivations and pragmatic functions。 In the future, under the trend of media competition, the use of narrative headlines help improve the speed of news dissemination, enhance the image of news language, concrete pragmatic functions, and it will also adapt to the cognitive needs of readers, and improve the generalizability and recognition of newspapers。
