摘 要：本文主要利用Landsat-5所提供的关于常州市1990年、2000年以及2006年的 TM遥感影像，经处理获取常州市内五区二县的城镇数据，将扩展速度、扩展强度指数、紧凑度指数作为分析的指标，并应用几何象限分析的方法对常州市各区县城镇的扩展方向进行研究。最终数据表明：（1）常州市自1990年到2006年间，城镇的面积不断扩展，城镇扩展速度十分迅速。（2）常州市城镇的扩展强度增强率也是十分迅速，扩展强度增强指数增强十分明显。（3）常州市的城镇紧凑度是呈下降的趋势，而又由于城镇的面积在不断扩展，侧面说明了城镇在空间格局上不断的向外扩展，城市化水平不断提升。通过对常州市各区县城镇的变化和扩展的分析以及研究，对常州市的资源和人口调配提供科学的依据，为常州市的发展提供科学的规划，为常州市的可持续提供科学的决策。58482

Abstract：Provided in this paper, by using Landsat - 5 of changzhou city in 1990, 2000 and 2006 TM remote sensing image, treated for changzhou city five area two county town, the extension of the expansion speed, strength, compactness index as indicators of analysis, and apply geometric quadrant analysis method to study the direction of each district and county town, changzhou. Final data indicate that: (1) from 1990 to 2006, changzhou, expanding the area of the town, town expansion speed is very fast. (2) the changzhou urban expansion intensity increase rate is very rapid, index of extension strength enhancement obviously. (3) the changzhou urban compactness is a downward trend, and due to the expansion of towns in the area of the side shows the town on the spatial pattern of scale out ceaselessly, improve the level of urbanization. Through the change of each district and county town, changzhou and extension analysis and research, allocate resources and population of changzhou provide scientific basis, to provide scientific planning for the development of changzhou, provide scientific decision for changzhou sustainable.

1 前 言
