摘要随着全球化的发展，中国与世界其它国家，特别是英语国家的交流日益频繁，西方的大批优秀电影也进入中国电影市场。如何把这些影片引进来，对于促进中西方文化交流显得非常重要，翻译在其中扮演重要的作用。本文以新兴的目的论翻译理论作为研究基础，大力提倡以观众为取向的英汉片名的翻译方法。目的论翻译是对传统翻译理论的一个重大突破也是对翻译理论研究的重要补充，为电影片名翻译开辟了个新视角。文章从电影片名（主要是讨论英语电影片名）的特点入手，分析了电影片名英译汉的主要策略，并对各种策略的优缺点进行了探讨，指出英语电影片名的翻译应以实现片名的功能为原则，巧妙灵活应用各种方法。84655

Abstract With the process of globalization and increasing communication between China and the western English-speaking countries, many English movies swarmed into Chinese movies market。 There is no denying that translation plays an important role in the introduction of these movies in order to promote cultural exchange。 And now it is high time we should give much attention to film tittle translation in the present field of translation studies。 In this paper, we regard the emerging skopos theory as the research foundation, vigorously promote the audience-oriented translation methods in the translation of English film titles。 Skopostheorie, which is a newly developed theory, is adopted as the theoretical background of this thesis。 Proceeding from the features and functions of the film tittle (in this paper mainly referring to English film title), this thesis analyzes the main translation methods and strategies applied in English film tittle translation from the perspective of skopostheorie。 And the advantages and disadvantages of each method are discussed。 This thesis intends to point out that English film tittle translation should employ proper and flexible translation methods in order to achieve the specific functions of film title。
