A study on lexical features of Chinese and foreign shipping News English Corpus
Abstract With the recovery and development of shipping industry, maritime English as working language plays an important role in maritime communication。 Maritime news (MN) summarizes an kinds of reports in the maritime transport, to make people better understand the new development of international shipping in the world。 Understanding the lexical characteristics of maritime news helps to effectively read and understand the maritime news。 With the help of AntConc; etc, through the comparative study, with BROWN corpus from vocabulary, word length, word frequency, lexical density, etc, the thesis analyzed the maritime English vocabulary characteristics of the news。 It is hoped that the results can help readers to understand the characteristics of maritime news vocabulary and improve the speed of reading maritime news, and can give teachers and students some enlightenment in teaching and learning。86956

摘 要 随着航运业的复苏和发展，海事英语作为工作语言在海事交流方面发挥了重要作用。而海事新闻(MN)总结了关于海上运输的各种报道，使人们更好地了解世界国际航运的新发展。因此，了解海事新闻中的词汇特征有助于有效阅读和理解海事新闻。在AntConc的帮助下，通过与BROWN语料库的对比研究，从词汇量、词长、词频、词汇密度等方面分析了海事新闻英语的词汇特点。希望该研究结果可以帮助读者能了解海事新闻词汇的特点，提高阅读海事新闻的速度，也希望能在教学和学习中给予老师和学生一些启示。
