Jin’s study of mocking jay of The Hunger Games is more comprehensive。 She believes that mocking jay in The Hunger Games is a representative of the many symbols, not only appeared  many times in "The Hunger Games" to deepen the topic, also expressed multiple symbolic meanings that author gave to the bird on a deeper level。 To sum up, mocking jay in The Hunger Games has brought out four symbolic meanings: the political symbolism, ethnic symbolism, cultural symbolism and spiritual symbolism (Jin, 2014)。 Based on analysis of specific fragments, Jin contracted the concept of symbolic anthropology, and summarized a plurality of symbolic meanings of the same symbol—Mocking jay。 Political Symbolism: contradictions between the ruling class and the ruled class and struggles which could erupt at any revolt。 Ethnic Symbolism: the two little girls fighting alongside formed a small group through the totem, and they gave mutual supports to each other。 Cultural Symbolism: the representative of the language of the future, blessing for their loved ones, suggestions of the disasters, the desire to win, and expectations for the future which  carried multi-layered cultural significance such as the of disillusionment of dream, the test for friendship, the catastrophe, the fate of the day set (Jin, 2014)。 Spiritual Symbolism: as an invisible force gave the heroine spiritual power, on behalf of the struggle against death and the desire of survival of oppressed people。 Jin’s document also took the perspective of Symbology, focusing primarily on the meaning only in the novel reflected by image of mockingbird, it did not extend to the concept of culture。
