1。2 Purpose and significance of the study
The purpose of this paper is based on observing the situation of classroom interaction of one class in practice school and analyzing from three aspects: the types of classroom interaction; allocation of teachers and students’ discourse amount; the type of teachers’ classroom questioning, from these three aspects, it can reveals the basic features of classroom interaction and find the problems of classroom interaction。 It tries to build notion of classroom interaction which can reflect and direct practice, so as to give classroom interaction with certain theoretical revelation and practical advice。
I think that it is necessary to do the research, which is meaningful to junior middle school English teaching。 From the students’ and teachers’ questionnaire, I found English classroom interaction remains to be improved。 Through analysis and study these defects, the paper puts forward some practicable advice and tactics to realize the effectiveness of classroom interaction, and help the English teachers analysis and sum up the advanced teaching ideas and seize the effective teaching methods, so as to adapt to the requirement of new curriculum reform on teachers and improve the quality of the classroom interaction。
2。 Literature Review
2。1 Relevant concepts
According to the definition of interaction and classroom interaction, there still are some differences between them。 The following two parts is clearly described them。
2。1。1 Definition of interaction 文献综述
As one of the basic notions of sociology, interaction is increasingly used in our daily life。 The definition of interaction was first appeared in the characterization of “symbolic interaction” which was written by American philosopher and sociologist Meade。 He argues that “interaction is a process which based on the interaction between symbols and language,” “human’s social interaction is a process of action based on symbolic symbols。” Later, interaction has become an important concept in sociology, social psychology and sociology of education。 Webster’s dictionary explained it as “Mutual or reciprocal action or influence having the same feeling; for the other。” From this we can see that interaction emphasize the equivalence or symmetry of actions or emotional interaction。
2。1。2 Definition of classroom interaction
Interaction is defined by Allwright (Allwright 156) as “live, person-to-person encounter”, and “it addresses the issue of necessarily social nature of classroom behavior” (Allwright 159)。 In term of its pedagogical importance,it is stressed by him as the fundamental fact of classroom pedagogy and “is something inherent in the very notion of classroom pedagogy”(Allwright 158)。 In his view, everything that happens in the classroom happens through a process of live person-to-person interaction, or, the process of direct interpersonal interaction。 The management of classroom language learning is taken as the result of classroom interaction management which is accomplished through the joint, simultaneous construction of both teachers and students。
