    Ⅱ.The Problems of English Teaching in Junior Middle School  

     In the framework of exam-oriented Education, Junior English Teaching has already received much attention, the quality of teaching is constantly improving, but due to the influence of various factors, especially under the influence of the “examination-oriented education”. The main purpose of English teaching is to impart knowledge, however teachers always emphasis on students’ grades and ignore the overall development of students; they focus on imparting basic knowledge and ignore training students’ listening, speaking, reading, writing and language communication ability and so on. This phenomenon is undoubtedly contrary to the law of language teaching. As a result, teachers always turn the relax practice of language lessons into a boring class. It leads to students learn English for many years, at the end students cannot say, ears do not know, all of these problems lead to serious landslide of teaching quality. 

    2.1 Two Questions in English Teaching

    There are two questions in English teaching. The first one is short of teachers and the second one is the lag of teaching method. Now each junior middle school English teachers has at least two classes, even worse, some English teachers also teach other subjects, which leads to the English teachers’ heavy course task. English teacher has litter time to think about other things, which will impact on the students’ extracurricular activities. At the same time, it is bad for the professional development of English teachers. Now there is a serious crisis that teachers only pay attention to old ideas, and do not pay attention to the students’ interest in learning English. Teachers do not have new teaching methods and flexible teaching organization, they fail to mobilize students to actively participate in classroom activities, they ignore students’ unintentional learning and pay attention to explaining new words and grammatical rules. They also ignore to encourage beginners of English students. All of this result in students not only experience the feeling of success is not easy to learn English but also lack opportunities to participate in practice, it will lead the students are prone to emotional exhaustion.

    2.2 Weak Interest and Motivation 

    The traditional English education model rote-sided requires students to know vocabulary, syntax, text and so on. If things go on like this it will make students fell tired, especially give students great psychological burden, when it comes to learning English, some students will get tired and others even appear to contradict English classes. 

    2.3 Shortage Parents’ Consideration

    The parents’ attitude plays an important role on student’s learning. Now there are many parents who are busy with their livelihood and they have less attention for their children learning and school records, there are also many parents even have an indifferent attitude to their children. The school and parents are lack of communication.  

    Ⅲ. Methods of Solving Problems in Junior Middle School English Teaching

     Because now there are many problems in junior middle school English teaching, which require school, teachers and students to overcome these problems, here are some solutions which are based on English teaching given by them.

    3.1 To Memorize English Words

     There are many places that first contact English in junior middle school, they feel unfamiliar in English and learning them will inevitably be some difficulties. They think as a beginner of English,students must know how to remember English words. The right method can help students learn better. Here are some advices about how to recite English words. First learn how to pronounce the word (with the teacher or English learning software which has read sound dictionary, etc.); second use your eyes, mouth, ears, brain to memory the new words; third use the word test to check the learning outcomes; fourth learn to repeat memory and overcome forgetting, As students they can through a lot of reading, it helps children consolidate words which they have learned. English words are easy to forget, that is why many students cannot insist on reciting words. A lot of reading and reciting in English not only can consolidate the already memorized words, improve speaking ability, but also can grasp the syntax. In addition, insist on reading and conversational habits also can help children develop language sense; the people who often take an English speech contest can improve students’ enthusiasm of learning English, if we can take an English corner or English interest in learning groups, it can make the children master words easily in the course of associating with others. While improve speaking and listening skills.
