2.3 The Previous Related Researches
There have been many researches on consumption concepts of China and America in different ways in recent years. Wang Zheng studies this topic from reasons that can explain the differences of Chinese and American consumption concepts , he concludes that “China and the United States all have their own unique advantages and disadvantages and so that, for them, learning from each other is essential.”(Wang Zheng, 2013:160) Yan Xianfu (2010) from the perspective of the comparison of consumption pattern and then concludes that Chinese pattern is “high savings - cautious conservative consumption pattern” and American pattern is “high spending-low savings -excessive consumption pattern”. He thinks that the excessive consumption is not a sustainable consumption pattern and points out that “excessive consumption pattern in advance is not suitable for China and moderate premature consumption pattern is more conducive for Chinese current economic development only when it is based on equilibrium and moderate degree.”(Yan Xianfu, 2010:09) Another person Xie Linlin (2011) compares Chinese and western consumption concepts, in terms of culture, she concludes that “the formation of Chinese and western consumption concepts is a very long and complicated process. Based on the previous studies, we know that different countries have different performances on consumption for different reasons. So in order to know Chinese and American people’s attitude towards consumption and enhance their comprehension of consumption concept, we begin to study the difference of consumption concept between China and America.
