1。2。2 The importance of improving students’ participation and concentration in English class in junior high school。
Nowadays, some students are lack of the consciousness of taking part in English class actively, which should be responsible for classroom low efficiency because those students cannot integrate themselves into the classroom interaction with teachers especially after teachers put forward some questions。 Their unwillingness to answer those questions really affects the accomplishment of the teaching objectives which lower the whole effect of classroom teaching。 The role of teachers and students in classroom teaching is a bilateral interaction between teachers' leading role and students' subjective role。
The accomplishment of students’ active participation makes them experience their own subjective participation status and significance from perceptual image。 The more actively they involve in English class, the more intensive they feel about their subjective status, the more they will enhance their positivity。 This is a virtuous circle。 As a Chinese saying goes, Practice goes deeper than theoretic knowledge。 Students are supposed to be the subject of study which makes it important for students to join the activities designed by teacher in English class。
2。 Literature Review
2。1 Introduction
National Compulsory Education Curriculum Standards in English of 2011 require students to master basic English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills and to develop the basic ability to communicate with others in English。 The standards encourage students to learn things by themselves from teachers’ guidance through various kinds of interactive activities thus students can cultivate their learning interests, positive learning attitude, good learning habits and the awareness of using English in daily life。 In English class, excellent students can help those poor students。 Excellent students can get high grades in examinations, but some of them don’t want to speak out in English class。 In fact, if they can make full use of their English knowledge, they can help teachers build up a harmonious, interactive and active classroom atmosphere。 And they can also help those students whose English is poor learn English and cultivate their learning interests。 However, I found that not all students can be active in class even some top students。 Those poor students cannot concentrate on English class,some of them even try to talk to others, which truly influences other students and even the whole class。 Therefore, it’s really important to improve excellent students’ participation and poor students’ concentration in English class。

2。2。1 Domestic and foreign researches about problems existed in English class
Su Yanfen(2009) sorts out the classroom teaching problems: First, the imperfection of the design before class influence the achievement of teaching goals; Second, classroom activities are designed with problems; Third, the inappropriate use of new teaching and learning methods and multimedia teaching influence classroom teaching; Forth, some low-level teachers influence the effectiveness of classroom teaching。
She analyzed some problems about teachers but ignored problems about students。
Wu xue(2014) investigates and analyses the current management and discipline management。 Current management includes physical environment of the classroom, namely classroom layout and the psychological environment such as classroom atmosphere and teacher-student relationships。 Discipline management involves the formulation and implementation of the rules and the management of the behaviors in English class。 论文网
As a matter of fact, most teachers will pay little attention to the layout of the classrooms。 However, a good layout of the classroom may make students feel relaxed and may encourage students to learn better if there are some inspiring words。 If the classroom is untidy, it may make students feel distracted thus their learning will be inefficient。
