2。1 The features of pair work

In modern society, people pay more attention to person’s cooperation consciousness and the ability of communication。 The cooperative learning as a new kind of teaching theory and pattern, it is based on the cooperative learning group, systematically involved various factors in teaching, regards group’s result as the evaluation criteria。 In this way it promotes all students to achieve the teaching goals together。 The cooperative learning plays an important role in arousing  classroom study atmosphere, stimulating the students’ interests in English study, improving students’ academic achievements and forming the good non-cognitional quality of the students。 The pair work in classes is the combination of students’ independence and cooperation。 Every student is the master of studying activities, energetic actor and creator。 Teachers have become directors, participators or observers from initiators。 The main feature of pair work is emphasizing that teachers should take the students as the center of English teaching。 Every student is a participator of studying activities。 All of them take part in these activities, they effect each other, inspire each other and help each other。 They found out problems together, they solve problems together and they practice together。 Then students become the protagonists from supports, teachers’ leading becomes the guidance of helping students to do language practice by using the known knowledge。 Teachers need to tell students to make a good relation with other students in the group。 At the same time, teachers need to consider students’ practical situations and design the activities carefully before every activity。 Arranging every step and predicting possible problems are the keys to deciding success or failure of pair work。
