Wang Guangqi Music Thought
Abstract: Wang Guangqi is a well-known musicologist and social activist of our modern times. In the early of 1920s, he proposed a viewpoint that a national music should be constructed, which made a call for Chinese music should occupy one position in world music, and he hoped to develop the traditional Chinese culture through music. The paper summarizes the relevant studies on Wang Guangqi’s music thoughts by academic faculties in nearly fifty years. Based on such studies, the national music and the thought that music saves the nation advocated by Wang Guangqi are both analyzed and discussed in depth. Meanwhile, in order to prompt the revival of the traditional Chinese music culture, the paper further considers Wang Guangqi’s musical thoughts in the cultural development of the modern national music, and makes a deliberation on how to take the achievements of western music culture for reference.

王光祈音乐思想初探
王光祈（1892—1936）是我国著名的音乐学家、社会活动家、“把西方比较音乐学引进亚洲的第一人”和“中国现代音乐学的开创者”。近半个世纪以来，对王光祈研究不断深入，这些研究涉及到政治、军事、国防、音乐等领域，以至廖辅叔先生提出要建立“王学”或“王光祈学”。本文将主要从音乐学角度阐述王光祈建立民族性“国乐”思想和“音乐救国”思想。
一、研究综述
（一）建国到改革开放期间
在改革开放前三十年，对王光祈研究较少，大都是片面的不公正的论述。吕骥对王光祈的定位是“小资产阶级、改良主义、狭义民族主义”，对王光祈提出的“礼乐复兴”说成是受封建思想的影响，是想要恢复“封建礼教”制度，而“谐和态度”也被认为是走资本主义改良道路，没有革命性。用舟在《王光祈》一文中提到：“他从小受封建礼教思想的影响比较深，因而在音乐方面许多见解是与时代脱节的。他曾多次说到要提倡一种‘民族特性’的音乐，说要有‘谐和态度’……这些看法自属资产阶级改良主义的文艺观。”[1]当然，也是有一些正面评论的，贺绿汀在《我国现代音乐发展回顾》中写道：“王光祈比较系统的介绍了西洋一般的理论知识”[2]。这说明在七十年代末对王光祈的评价开始向正确的方向发展。
