Title Research in the Impacting Factors of Current Transformer Saturation
Abstract When the power system’s faults occurs, the primary side’s current increases rapidly and contains a certain DC decay component。 In this case, the current transformer core may saturate。 When the current transformer is saturated, the secondary side current cannot pass variable primary side information accurately。 It can cause a serious threat to the security and stability of power system。This paper does some deep research and analysis on the characteristics and influence factors of current transformer saturation。 Firstly, this paper analyzes the mathematical model and its saturation magnetization characteristic core current transformer。 Secondly, it theoretically infers factors that may affect current transformer saturation。 Thirdly,the current models on PSCAD simulation platform that are based on Jiles - Atherton and Lucas are analyzed and compared。 Finally,it verifies the various factors on the specific impact of current transformer saturation, using the current model based on Lucas on PSCAD simulation platform。 Through the theoretical analysis and simulation of this paper, it can be obtained that current transformer saturation factors are: primary-side current waveform, the secondary-side load, remanence core, core cross-sectional area of winding turns and winding turns ratio。
