From this survey, Situational Teaching Method is suitable for middle school students. How to arouse their interests and develop their abilities is a problem. Teachers can instruct students through imitating the real scenes in order to make students use what they have learned in their everyday lives. It can be found that students can benefit a lot from Situational Teaching Method. What’s more, under the background of China’s reform, Situational Teaching Method is adopted by teachers gradually.
 The theory of the formation of the "situational English teaching method" the total report and papers about "situational English teaching methods in middle school" are greatly improved, so are English teaching achievements, it has fully proved that this kind of English teaching method is a very good role model. It greatly stimulated the young English teaching enthusiasm and creativity. In the teaching practice, it has been written and published 7 books related to English teaching guidance book. At the provincial level, the national journal published many papers.
   
II. Background Information of Situational Teaching Method

2.1 Definition of Situational Teaching Method
Situational Teaching Method means creating and using many kinds of scenes to make students immerse themselves in the oral English environment which is abundant, natural or half-natural. Moreover, the method makes students have a direct contact with English-spoken countries’ culture. Therefore, they can receive massive language materials in the natural or artificial scenes to express the social, objective and subjective cognitions with the similar sentences so that their most inner feelings can be effectively expressed. And only under this kind of environment can the relation of the cognitions and the emotion be established. And only by this kind of means can the sentence structures be consolidated. It contains realistic scene, recollection scene, association scene, scene’s transformation and scene’s overlapping.
    In overseas, the Situational Teaching Method has already obtained success in English teaching. In other words, the Situational Teaching Method can be comprehended; in the English teaching process teachers establish teaching scenes through language descriptions, material object demonstrations, music exaggerations and so on to stimulate students’ study initiative and enthusiasm. The STM brings students to the specific active environment which enables students to imagine emotionally and makes students have a superiority exciting center, thus the students can obtain the best attention, which stimulates students’ interest and guides the reassignment in study, or the exercise’s enthusiasm. Students’ cognition has the situational connection. The specific scene influences not only students to understand significance of the activities but also the possibility of the activities; meanwhile it also affects students’ consciousness as well as the method of studying, and it makes the knowledge in students’ mind deeply.
Speech was regarded as the basis of language, and structure was viewed as the heart of speaking ability. Situational Teaching Method begins with the spoken language. Material is taught orally before it is presented in the written form. The target language is the language of the classroom, Translation should be avoided. New language points are introduced and practiced situationally. The objectives of the language teaching are to help learner to get a practical command of the four basic of language through structure. Automatic control of basic structures and sentence patterns are emphasized.
