Norman Fairclough, a UK theorist and linguist, made it clear in his book called “Discourse and Social Change” that the concept of intertextuality plays an important role in his study on language change. Intertextuality can be regarded as a process of inherit, transform and innovation on historical texts. If it was combined with the theory of hegemony, it will be a highly effective research way to reproduce or interpret the real meaning of texts and discourse in a wide range of social culture.
